“BAG IN BOX” MARCHE MERLOT
Appellation: Marche Merlot IGT
Grape variety: 100% Merlot
Winemaking: we chose neutral yeasts so that they would not impact the flavour profile of Merlot. The winemaking process requires 2 weeks of maceration and malolactic fermentation at the end of the fermentation.
Wine Tasting: intense ruby red, to the nose a hint of blackcurrant, blueberry, but mostly herbaceous scents that are the signature of Merlot all over the world. To the taste one recognises the thick silky tannins of this variety, the important elegance of this wine makes it warm and round.
Merlot is a black grape variety from France. Like its brother, Cabernet Sauvignon, it was born in the Bordeaux area, in the South-West of France. Its name is no accident. It derives from the word "merlo" (a blackbird). The colour of its feathers is said to resemble the colour of the individual grapes. In the Piceno pedoclimatic environment, Merlot seems to express well all of its potential.
